In FIFA April's Ranking, Afghanistan climbed 21 places reaching 174, one place short of their highest place in FIFA ranking which was achieved in July 2006.
Afghanistan had only 10 points in March which placed it at 195 place of the world. This month, with the 51 points gained after two successive defeats of Bhutan, Afghanistan reached 174.
This month ranking covers all matches up to April 7, which means the win over Sri Lanka will give Afghanistan more points in the next ranking.
